Resident Services

Affordable Homes & Communities (AHC) has provided award-winning Resident Services for over 30 years. From the program’s start as an afterschool initiative for children to today, it has expanded to provide a wide range of services for children, families, adults, and seniors, fostering long-term, trusting relationships within the communities we serve and providing a platform for upward mobility.

Four Service Cornerstones

Education & Youth Development

AHC’s educational programs support students’ academic success and personal growth in a nurturing environment. Located within the communities where families live, our programs engage children from elementary through high school.

Afterschool Program

Improves literacy and social and emotional skills through reading, writing, and educational activities with staff and volunteers.

Teen Tutoring

Provides one-on-one tutoring, college visits, SAT prep, and mentoring to help middle and high school students stay on track.

College & Career Readiness Program

Prepares high school juniors and seniors for their next steps with mentorship and career guidance. All students in the program graduate, with nearly all continuing to college.

Summer Camp
