Peter Desjardins
Peter joined AHC as Vice President of Asset Management in December 2025. In this role, he oversees the overall management and operation of AHC’s portfolio. Peter brings over 25 years of experience in real estate operations and asset management and has a proven track record of managing high-cost portfolios of real estate assets and subsidized housing properties throughout the U.S. He previously served as Chief of Real Estate Operations and Vice President of Asset Management at Volunteers of America (VOA), where he provided senior leadership across departments for a national portfolio of 14,500 affordable housing units in 34 states and Puerto Rico.
Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Gettysburg College. He completed the Senior KeyMakers leadership program during his tenure at Volunteers of America, building leadership skills and strategic growth initiatives. Peter is a huge LEGO fan. He has so many sets that his family told him he’s not allowed to bring any new ones into the house until he gets rid of some older sets.
