On October 9, Affordable Homes & Communities (AHC) held its 2025 Annual Celebration at The Apex, an AHC community in Arlington. With the theme of the night “Growing Together,” partners gathered for connection and conversation.
The event kicked off with Terron Sims, AHC Board Chair, followed by Paul Bernard, AHC President & CEO, who provided organizational updates. Mary Claire Davis, Vice President of Real Estate Development, shared a video highlights reel showcasing AHC’s real estate achievements. Then Cindy Rozón, Senior Director of Resident Services, introduced a Resident Services video highlights reel.
Haset Zelalem, a young AHC resident, shared her story through an essay reading, bringing a personal perspective to AHC’s impact in the community. In June, Haset won Housing&’s essay contest with her essay responding to the prompt, “What’s the Recipe for a Strong Community?”
